In fact it's a real moment of clarify watching it now, and realising how different a person I am now (even though I swear it can't be 9 years since I was 17...!)Mark, Real-Ale-Reviews.comhttp://real-ale-reviews.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8717216232742676074.post-31692182903417435002010-05-15T00:33:19.982+01:002010-05-15T00:33:19.982+01:00I have my eyes on the work projector throughout Ju...I have my eyes on the work projector throughout June. I can't afford a new telly but I need something a little bigger. 2 games a day for a month, plus beer. And Carlsberg... Danish, right? Since when have the Danes been huge England fans, anyway?

And I'll be watching most of the England games at home, I expect. The atmosphere's not the same, but the beer's always guaranteed to be good... :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8717216232742676074.post-23372524517849040682010-05-09T21:46:51.521+01:002010-05-09T21:46:51.521+01:00No cask ale?

It starts so well, and then it gradually gets worse and worse. That female sailor. That bloody rugby coach. Bobby Robson and the ghost of Bobby Moore. Shameful, shameful stuff.

But more than anything, despite a start that looks like it will, it doesn't pick up on the real spirit of football like any of the Nike ads (e.g. Parklife or the Arsenal sub). It smacks of plastic passion, like the new Adidas ad which puts Beckham next to N_Dubz. It just feels, fake. It doesn't get under the skin of football, of community, of desire to win.

I find it patronising to be honest, which is a shame. Cos Jackie Charlton's in it, and for him I'd play my bleedin' socks off.Mark, Real-Ale-Reviews.comhttp://real-ale-reviews.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8717216232742676074.post-15062237168578742222010-05-09T20:40:51.836+01:002010-05-09T20:40:51.836+01:00You can't beat the spitfire adverts if you ask...You can't beat the spitfire adverts if you ask me ;-)Edhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13844169940650659196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8717216232742676074.post-91170682045216138772010-05-09T20:09:34.351+01:002010-05-09T20:09:34.351+01:00Jingo doesn't appeal as much as tongue-in-chee...Jingo doesn't appeal as much as tongue-in-cheek.
